The courses offered by all majors are composed of five band-1 modules, namely, the common basic course module, basic subject module, specialized course module, optional course module and practise module.
The common basic courses are those that all students must master, required by the Education Ministry or by our institute. They focus on the training in general qualities and fundamental abilities. They include Marxism theories, mentality and morality training, physical education, college Chinese, college English, computer applications and higher mathematics.
The purpose for the establishment of the basic subject courses is to enhance students' basic qualities and abilities on the principle of broadening students' exposure and strengthening their knowledge horizon and it embodies the overall feature of our Institute.
The major courses consist of three modules, namely, the major core subjects, major-revevant courses and professional training model courses that students must master. The setup of the core courses aims at broadening and strengthening speciality base, enhancing students' theoretical quality and adaptability, helping them to grasp the major knowledge, principles and techniques of that major.
The optional courses include quality education and professional education and aim at optimizing students' knowledge structure and enhancing their comprehensive qualities. The purpose of the setup of optional courses is to enlarge students' vision, enhance their overall qualities and to enable the students to keep track of the latest development of international economy and trade. These optional courses consist of five band-2 modules.They include major module, subject-relevant module,comprehensive quality module, graduate training module. That the students may design the knowledge structure on their own represents the enhancement of individualized education and adaptability.
The practise courses focus on the training in students' practical abilities.They include military training, social practice, graduation practice and its theses.
